In honor of Raul R. Perez community leader and first Latino mayor of the City of Huntington
Park, a minimum of two scholarship of $500.00 (each) will be awarded to a graduating seniors who are residents of Huntington Park attending Huntington Park High School or Linda Esperanza Marquez High School. This year’s award will also include a new laptop.

• Provide two letters of recommendation. One should be from a sponsor of an
extracurricular activity; the other may be from a teacher, college counselor, or community leader.

• An essay describing how the life of the late Mayor Raul R. Perez may inspire you personally, and/or to help your community (Between two and four pages, double-spaced, 12 point font, 1” margins). It is highly recommended that applicants use the website’s About page and Artifacts Archives for reference in completing the essay.

• Complete the application by April 14, 2024. Submit all additional documents via mail by sending as attachments to: apply@raulrperez.org
